Alright, I've done enough whining, time to face the cold, hard truth. The Huskies just finished taking it right up the ass in Madison, losing 0-6, including five, count 'em, FIVE Badger PP goals. Friday, Tech lost a 2-3 bout in which they tried to sneak back into the game when it was already too late.
Where do we go now? Onward to Minneapolis next weekend, to face a Gopher squad that completed a third period thumping of their own against New Hampshire, winning 6-2. One thing is for sure - play like that next weekend, and the Gophers will have zero problem torching us faster than one of my grandpa's gasoline-soaked bonfires. As I pack my bags, I can only prepare for the worst and hope the Huskies prove me dead wrong.

sorry Donut Hole...I understand your frustrations though...
That wasn't the short one, that was me.
This blog does have more than one regular author, sorry for any confusion.
You forgot to mention that they didn't score a goal against a backup goalie ;)
We actually scored two goals against the backup goalie but Mason and Kosloski (Sp?) saved him.
Second, I usually like your posts FTB&G but this one is completely way off. If you are going to talk like that you better be sure you know what you're talking about, which means attending that game.
I agree with Yager. It may not have come across on the radio, but Tech outplayed UW for at least 2 out of 6, if not 3 out of 6 periods this weekend. Bad bounces, shitty reffing and just a general lack of luck made it look a lot worse than it actually was.
Can't argue with that. They did score twice. I think the officials actually were hearing whistles in their heads. One of the officials barely blew into his whistle making it hardly audible by anybody. It wasn't great officiating (as usual) thats for sure.
Meh, so there were periods of decent play that didn't come across as well on the radio, but regardless, I don't think we got a full 120 minutes of hockey from the Huskies this weekend. Dominating two out of six periods doesn't cut the mustard, and that shit won't fly against the rebounding Gophers.
Um... We haven't put in a complete 120 minutes in a weekend yet this season. :P
